Creative Writing

I’ve always had a great respect for the written word. A clever turn of phrase. A snappy headline in a print ad. Brevity is the soul of wit as Shakespeare articulated in Hamlet.

My first efforts were screenplays, admiring the screenwriter’s craft of culling down the essence of a story for a 2-hour movie. Advertising copywriting also calls for a trim, motivating turn of phrase. I’ve written 3 screenplays. They never sold, but I’m glad I wrote them. They translated to succinct novellas, below and define “the soul of wit”.
