Hello

Steve Jobs once said that your work was going to occupy a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you think to be great work. The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle!

As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know it too when you find it. Like any great relationship, the it just gets better as the years roll on. Someone sent me a small sign that I taped to my computer as an inspiration that reads: “He hangs on the edge of insanity and brilliance”.

Aye, there’s a fine line between what’s logically doable, and remotely possible.

I also like to think I found what I love to do many years ago, and put it in my pocket all this while. As for that matter of the heart, I eventually found her as well, and indeed things just keep getting better.

As to whether I’ve done great work is entirely for you to judge. I only ask that you be gentle and kind.

My work today is focused on photography. I recently published Where Maine Reads to somewhat robust and satisfying acclaim. I was certainly privy to meet and engage with some interesting people/readers throughout Maine. I’m delighted, as of this writing in June 2024, to be off and running with a sequel, aptly titled: Maine’s Still Reading. So, stay in touch, huh?
